All of a sudden everyone is a animal activist but i can assure you that everyone of these people would think/act diffrently if that would be their 4 year old child down there. What a hypocritical society.

Exactly.  No one knows the whole story, but are quick to call this woman a bimbo and accuse her of child neglect.  I don't know, I thought we believed in innocent until proven guilty, especially when we only know bits of the story.  Really, there shouldn't have been any way for the child to get under or through the rails of the pit.  A lot of blame needs to be put on the zoo for not completely securing that.

And sorry, but given the situation as it happened, the zoo did do the right thing.  Unfortunately, we live in an age where an animal's life has more value than a human's to some.  People making excuses like the ape was only playing or agitated by the people talking can just shut it.  Those animals don't know their own strength, nor do they know the ability of another creature to hold up against that strength.  The boy could have easily drowned from being pulled in the water like that.  So, yea, it sucks that an animal had to die, but given that it was to save a human's life, I feel less upset.
