As a Nintendo Pc gamer the only thing that angers me about Nintendo is when Metroid skip a home console. I don't care about any of their other mistakes. They hardly affect me. Metroid is my first favortie game as a boy. Then Super Metroid. Then nothing through the entire N64 era. It sucked even though I loved my wannabe Ultra 64. But I get it, internal fighting with Gunpei and risk/profit.. it had no chance.

I don't expect Nintendo to place risk ontop of risk when I know it'll be at loss to them. Metroid is that single dark game with a chronological story that  Nintendo only rewards us with when they have the extra money and passion to go out of their way. It's been 30 years since I got hooked on metroid. Which means I've enjoyed, on average, one game per five years. I don't count hunters as I find it lacking the right recipe.

So then this occured to me, Prime 3 is going to be 10 years old. That's the age that Nintendo has used to remaster twilight and waker. Prime 3 used motion controls but had the architecture of a dual analog control system. Speaking for myself, I know that I would be hugely grateful for a version that I could play using the Gamepad's analog sticks. It would count, from me at least, as a whole new game because it would be more properly akin to the original Metroid Primes.

Well, nice idea but like most all Wii U ventures from here on, this idea would work best as a duel release on Wii U & the NX. The ten year anniversary mark will match the spring launch of the new home console. Dual releasing with added features like possibly a cooked up multiplayer would be a small gesture compared to a whole new story arc with all new planet(s). I was originally under a made up delusion that Retro Studios or Next Level  or both were creating proper Metroid games. That's like expecting snow in Las Vegas.

What are your thoughts on Metroid's many impossibilities?
