Taking fees as a platform holder for which 3rd parties? the nearly 0 support they get and similar sales from them? selling exclusively to an audience of 10M when they could sell to a 10 times bigger audience is just stupid in all accounts.

No one is talking about handhelds, they seem to still be doing ok on that front, but who knows for how long.

You can't just ignore their handhelds when talking about going 3rd party. If Nintendo were to stop making home consoles than it would make more sense for them to divert all resources to making sure their handhelds are a success.

You cant expect Nintendo to release games on PS4/Neo, XB1/Scorpio, PC & Mobile while also releasing a steady stream of games for their next-generation handheld, its just not feasible.
