Breaking news, developers hyping up their products. Also, fire is hot, water is wet. I mean, what are they supposed to say? "Yeah, VR on the PS4 doesn't look very good. Probably shouldn't buy our games :( "

Not to poo on PSVR, but what I have seen looks extremely underwhelming. And the rumors of a PS4K certainly doesn't help put out this fire. If PSVR were fine on PS4 then Sony wouldn't need a PS4K.

Then again it's pretty much impossible to ever debunk this rumor. For some, PSVR will be unimpressive on a PS4. For others, it will be fine. It just comes down to opinion.

Fire is quite the stretch.  And what's the point of the XB 1.5?  The answer to both machines is that with the X86 architecture and off the shelf components, B/C using newer, more powerful chips will be much more easily obtained and will most likely be a standard feature from now on.  We are seeing the new console model.  Most likely, a full launch every 6 years, with a 1.5 version every 3 years.

I just thought of something. If devs claim there is no real big difference between the performance of VR in the OG PS4 and the PS4K (very small differences because Sony wouldn't allow more), then what's the point of the PS4K? Regular games will be made with the OG PS4 in mind because that's the one that sold 40m already, and Sony won't allow big differences on the VR games. What's the point of the upgrade, again?

Who says there won't be big differences?  The only thing Sony requires is 60fps min for VR.  Everything else is up to the dev.  If they want to push visuals close to OG PS4 graphics with PSVR on the Neo, they are free to do so.  Devs just aren't allowed to gimp the FPS on OG PS4.  As far as normal games go, think of it as the PS4 running games on medium settings, while the PS4 Neo will run them on high settings.
