Yes. Every console from here on out for Sony will be forward and backwards compatible. You'll just get improvements to resolution, FPS, bounce light, sub-surface scattering, shadow quality, draw distance, physics, AI, wind simulations etc. UC4 and Witcher 3 (soon No Man's Sky) have proved we've come as far as we need to come in terms of presenting what is possible. Refinement is the future.
