Why are we still using discs instead of cartridges?

Yet about 80 million CD sales in the US last year, that's not stopped using discs ages ago.

It's more fair to say people stop caring about actually owning music, movies and next games. Streaming is the future :( Ownership is on its way out.

Btw my kids play video games on discs!
