That was the problem. It was all cutscenes, there was no actual game running like that, it got so messy and complicated Sony actually dropped the support on it, maybe that's what got some people confused that it was cancelled, as it was not.
Really dunno what to expect from Rime after knowing that, was also really excited for it.

Yeah it looked very promising. Hopefully they're still going to make an actual game from it although this sounds very damning.

Perhaps Sony dropped out because they saw another TLG development hell on the horizon. Maybe this will get the devs to actually produce something that works now they fully own the IP and don't have the luxury anymore of dining on Sony's money.
