Being from one of the most inhabitable war zones on this planet( Gaza), I have to say one thing- going to a third world country makes you enjoy every aspect of life.

When I live in Gaza, water is always 50/50 as to when it's on, fights always occur, no one's a winner(everyone's essentially a loser), and there's no government to put anything into order. Seeing people complaining about everything in America really makes me disappointed. America is heaven compared to the extremely poor. Having a government to make sure cities don't become dumps is great.

Seeing the state of where we're going makes me love the state I'm currently in. Water is already on the topic of arguments(water war in 20 years guaranteed), the Middle East will be close to inhabitable soon(more refugees/a lot of deaths), Artificial intelligence is advancing at ridiculous rates(decline of humans), and it doesn't seem like we'll properly manage our food anytime soon(looking at you America).

You truly don't know when everything will collapse before your eyes. That's why you don't indulge in the past or future and enjoy the best gift of all- the present. We won't have all of this in the future, so it's best to enjoy it before it's gone.

Just for comparison, imagine going from this:

to this:

and to this...

Makes me realize how lucky we are to live a life that's considered king-like in the poor sections of the world.
