Emulation can only go as far IF someone is willing to burn a lot of time to make one.

Still waiting on a PS3 emulator myself. Or a proper PS2 emulator for mobile devices.

Yet they aren't gonna show up anytime soon so yeah..... We're all gonna dream about it that it's ready and available when we want it.

PS3 emulation is happening extremely quickly. - http://rpcs3.net/
With some games already being playable, I wouldn't be surprised if in the next year or two we are able to play the Uncharted trilogy on PC in full 4k/5k.
I remember people on these forums saying it won't happen for years due to the Cell being so difficult, yet the PS3 emulator is farther along than the Xbox 360 emulator!

As for PS2 emulation, it's extremely well developed on PC now, mobile hardware still has some catching up to do though, but if you have an x86 tablet like Microsoft's surface it's perfectly doable.

But this is trending off topic now, probably best to make a new thread if you wish to discuss emulation?

Shame I got quoted before I added some things. Oh well.

Like I said emulation will definitely happen if someone did pour their time into it. Of course within that time frame we are at the mercy if they should be willing to optimize the emulation program. Most of the time it becomes insane with how poorly it manages its resources. I stopped using emulation 2 years ago since I've already played/revisited the games I wanted. The bad taste of that ridiculous 3DS emulator still lingers in my mouth.

Anyway yes, we should stop talking about this.
