No, but those that buy the NEO would. Instead of one console, that person bought two. That pushes the older model into the second hand market (or gift to a family member or friend) which of course then creates a much bigger market for the software. We'll see a huge spike in sales when the NEO releases, largely from enthusiasts and partly from those who have been sitting on the fence or intended to buy a PS4 anyway.
The PS5 Exists.
