If you want to play Oculus developed games you need a headset that supports Oculus platform. Why would Oculus Studios develop games for the HTC Vive?

That's the thing, they don't have to, the devices are so similair modders can get them working no problem and they have to include DRM to make sure you're using THEIR VR headset and not another one that can just as readily play their software.

Also I would argue Oculus isn't a platform, PC is the platform, Oculus is merely a preheripal.
