Could No Man's Sky hurt the industry?

Will the assets also be infinite? Or will the 10th colorful planet with dino-ish creatures get boring?

I think we will have to wait and see :).  I'm excited for it though.  Its supposed to be 40 hours to beat so if I can see a decent amount of life, travel to at least 50 different planets, dogfight in outer space, trade, explore and kill my way to the center of the galaxy, I will be satisfied.  I mean, even if the game is infinite, I'm not lol, so give me like a god 40-50 hours of exploration and mystery and I'm good.
