Do some devs go overboard with trophy requirements?

Yeah, my other two platinums are Disney Infinity 3.0 and Lego Dimensions.

So the Mad Max platinum I just got is my first big boy platinum.

The Disney Infinity one does have trophies locked behind online multiplayer with the Flynn's Arcade stuff which are a pain to get.
