The graphics are technically great compared to many other ps4 games out there, and style wise it's very good for the type of game, but the better graphics get the more it shows up the current failing computer games have in terms of animation.

Character movement and facial movements look terrible and hold it back. Graphic are at a point where games animation should be a big focus, at least semi realistic games. I think people overlook how bad animation is these days because bad animation is normalised in games. Or maybe because progress in that area is so slow people have just given up hope.

Doom 4's animation was better than most and graphically it might be the best overall. But it's visually to different to definitively compare.

Sometimes someone posts something and I'm lost for words ...

In his defense, there were times when I panned the camera around just to see what faces were doing when they were talking.  Sometimes, I was blown away like the time Nate was eating an apple.  Other times, the faces were barely emoting.  Then again, most games would have the character talking and their lips wouldn't even be moving so it's unrealistic to expect Uncharted 4 to have perfect facial expressions at a time when I was supposed to be looking at the back of Nate's head while he was climbing or something.  Even if it isn't perfect, it's still waaaaaay better than anything anybody else is doing save for one or two games I've seen.

As for character movement, I don't think it could be any better.  Too many nice touches that make me almost forget that this is a video game character.
