haha they're literally essentially on an 'off season' in terms of being right in that awkward time period after a struggling console and right before trying a new one. of course right now is not going to be an awesome time period : o

I think they did an extremely solid job with the 3DS and the Wii U is flawed and not great unfortunately. That said things like Mario Maker, Splatoon, Smash- I still consider them so much vastly better than other things released elsewhere this gen that I can let it go.

so I'm about indifferent. Nintendo failed a bit with the Wii U but considering I like the 3DS I think its about a middling level of performance.

its tough though, because its Nintendo people have such high expectations and they look bad when they're still better than a lot of the competition.

again though, right now is a terrible awkward and somewhat unfair time period to judge them. they have made it clear in press releases that they are putting a LOT into the NX and focusing on it right now. a lot of the work they've been doing this year and last year are things we won't see until 2017. which I'm mostly fine with

I always say wait until you're comfortable with a system and its library to buy it. If you are an early adopter thats always going to be dangerous and leave potential for disappointment since you don't really know what you're getting into
