Overall MS and Nintendo have been very poor in first party offerings for XB1 and Wii U compared to Xbox 360 and Wii at the same point in time. But I suppose both companies at the time thought that they could win the generation hard. Sony's PS4 offerings easily beat the lackluster early PS3 offerings for the same point in time and its paying dividends.
