Is anybody scared to purchase Nintendo games digitally from fear of not being able to play on future consoles

That's why I am not buying retail games for any console as a digital download. The will probably not work on the next console and who knows how long I can download it on the older one. Also Nintendo is kinda behind all the others and ties the games to the console instead of the account.

I would like to have a system like the PC where I can still play most games until today which where bought more than a decade ago.
