You had to go out of your way to track down and play snes games during the ps2 era but backwards compatability and official emulation is so prevalent now that people that use this stuff don't have an excuse anymore. The people that keep spewing the whole playing and higher resolutions and preserving history arguments are so full of shit since you'll probably be able to do that legally and officially one the nx gets here but nope you cheap bastards want to open the doors for piracy anyway.

Can I play Wii games at higher resolution on my Wii U? No. That is why Dolphin is my default device for playing my Wii games, which I've purchased. But let's say I was a dirty pirate. It is much easier to install homebrew to play games on the Wii than it is to get an emulator working. The same is true for the Wii U games. It is much easier to get a Wii U that can play pirated games than to get the games working on PC.  I doubt I'll be able to play Wii U games at 1080p on the NX, as the Wii U doesn't do it for Wii games, and the difference between the Wii U and the Wii will probably be much greater than NX and Wii U in terms of CPU power. So yes, I have a Wii U, and I've purchased quite a few games. I'd love to play those games at at 1080p with Super-Sampled Anti-Aliasing (SSAA) and maybe even in 3D.
