First I'll say uncharted. The series has pretty much been the same with every entry. if you love 1 you will love them all. If you couldn't get into 1/2 no chance you will suddenly get into the last one.

Then next up I'll say tekken and this one is actually amazing when taken into context. The core gameplay mechanics has remained the same for over 20yrs. Same principle. Characters from tekeen 1 that are still in the game in tekken 7 even have majority of the same moves they had in 1. Just usually reiterated on. But if you played tekken 2 in 96 and hadn't played tekken since, you will still fit right in in tekken 7 as long as the character you used then was still in the game. None of all that trigger this and bar that you see from one SF game to the next that completely changes the experience and mechanics.

Then Ace combat, in honesty, you play one ace combat you have played them all. The tried really hard to break the formula in their last game tho.... really hard.
