I am talking about how Famitsu has said that they hand out reviews based on hype for a game. Like I said, I have no clue if Haze was hyped in Japan, I really don't care actually, all I care about is that Famitsu hands out reviews based on hype for some games.

This isn't some fanboy conspiracy, this is fact. I don't see how you can possibly trust their reviews after knowing that. Haze very well may be a 34/40 or whatever, I'm not going to believe it from Famitsu until I actually see it (consistently) from other places.

When has Famitsu said that they hand out reviews based on hype for a game??? Coming from someone that seems to know nothing about the magazine, and claims not to care, you seem to write a lot about it.

In general their reviews are fairly accurate. There are times when titles get higher than they deserve, but that isn't all that often, and if it does happen it is nearly always with Square Enix or Nintendo titles, or for a game that has essentially paid off the mag (see Blue Dragon for example).

Haze doesn't fit into this category in any shape or form. They basically praise the game modes (single player as either Mantel or rebel and the online mode variety and quality) and also that it is basically a very well-made game that is considerate to cater for all players.

Well here's one spot I've read about it, but I have seen other stories similar that I'm just too lazy to search for:
