Kind of weird splitting up the Gameboy and the color version. If i'm not mistaken both versions could play both games just one in color.
A similar argument would be Wii passing PS2 super slim version sales rather than all of PS2.
or PSP outselling the original DS model (which probably already happened) and calling it a huge accomplishment.
No doubt the PSP is very successful, but when you go to the lengths of saying it's outselling a certain version of a certain handheld, that's stretching it.
On top of that i don't think it's entirely accurate to compare consoles / hand helds that came out decades ago to the modern market, there are more people and more gamers.
Given the strength of the Sony brand as a system seller, i'd say PSP is doing ok. I think a true accomplishment would be if the PSP outsells any gameboy system's software totals, let alone hardware. Fact of the matter is most people don't even use a PSP as a gaming machine.
