The second part of today's news, and also last for the week:

FABLE LEGENDS ATE UP $75 MILLION BEFORE IT WAS SHUT DOWN

http://www.pcgamer.com/fable-legends-ate-up-75-million-before-it-was-shut-down/

There's a great anecdote in Eurogamer's in-depth report on the creation, evolution and demise of Lionhead, told by Fable Art Director John McCormack, that really nails the essence of Peter Molyneux. “We had a meeting," McCormack said. "We'd not seen [Molyneux] in weeks because he had other things on. He opened the door, walked in and goes, the hero has a dog, and it dies. And then he left and we didn't see him again for another month. We were like, what the fuck? That was it. That was the direction.”

http://www.pcgamer.com/the-witcher-3-blood-and-wine-dev-diary-teases-geralts-greatest-challenge-yet/

We recently got some hands-on time with The Witcher 3 expansion Blood and Wine, and it looks like it's going to be a worthy conclusion to the series: Geralt arrives in the fairy tale realm of Toussaint, but instead of the expected wine, women, and song, it's monsters, monsters... and monsters. The new developer diary released today reveals even more about what's ahead, and even though this is Geralt's swang song, he won't have an easy time of it.

After a strong start to the year, you'd be forgiven for thinking Ubisoft is taking the rest of 2016 off. Though several projects are in development, no games have been confirmed to release this year – nor is there going to be a major new Assassin's Creed title.
