They say the weapon thing is intentional instead of having weapons that fire lasers.
Anyway, if anything, I'm a littler nervous over the apparent removal of alternate fire for weapons. I believe the guy said that in an interview in a Gametrailers interview. He said that there would be lots of weapons, but that seems rather weird after seeing the ISA gun with the grenade launcher and Helghast shotgun secondary fire in the first Killzone.
I guess we'll have to wait and see how many weapons make it into the game.

To be on topic, the game looks better in some ways than the 05 trailer, especially lighting. The lighting in Killzone 2 looks very impressive and it looks like there is even some more color than in the 05 trailer. This new showing is a big step up compared to last year's E3, but I kind of doubting it'll completely match EVERYTHING in the 05 trailer like, for example, the EXTREME amount of detail in the everything.
