I believe the supposed quote was "won't" not "can't". Therefore not a limit. Granted you could say God chose a human male image as a form, but, then the idea that Adam was created in God's physical image still isn't right as God simply chose that image then and can easily choose another image if God so wills.
Not to mention there have been many large and greatly disaterous floods since then. I personally don't think the Noah story was world-wide as in all of Earth. Just world-wide to those who initiated the verbal story and overtime has had some alterations that one would expect after a few hundred years of being a solely verbal tale. Ever play the phone game?
