i have a launch model it got loud when i bought it since then i gave it more room to breath mainly the rear of the console it need more room then my ps3 that was in the same spot
i also have it jacked up on all four corners on one and half inch blocks did this with my ps3 aswell mines been pretty silent i sit about 5 feet away from it too
i also been playing UC4 up to chapter 6 with no noticeable over heating only cleaned the inside once since launch wasnt too bad in there but that also made it a silent as it was when new
