Capcom released financial info from the previous fiscal year. In it, they revealed that Street Fighter V sold 1.4 million copies from its launch until March 31st. In May of 2015, in a report for investors for last fiscal year, they predicted 2 million in sales. Essentially what that means is that they missed the mark by over half a million.

So, what do you guys think? Were they delusional for predicting 2 million in the first place? Was all of the negative buzz surrounding its slim single player modes the culprit? Or something else all together?

Fun fact, VGChartz has Street Fighter V at 690k as of April 30th... so either seriously impressive digital sales, or seriously impressive undertracking.

EDIT: I decided to check SteamSpy, and it said that it has ~156k owners. So if we pair that figure with VGChartz' 690k, we get over 845k, which still leaves 535k unaccounted for.
