Open Task Manager - Performance tab - and check the physical memory to see how much RAM is recognized by the system.  RAM is really tricky.

Article and review on Linux Mint -

Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon - The ultimate Windows 7 replacement

It says that 1,2 GB Ram is being used, out of 1,5 available. Some times it goes up to all Ram being used.
The CPU usage seems to be another issue. It constantly says that 100% of the CPU is being used. When I checked what processes are causing this, the main culprit seems to be something called svchost.exe. It constantly seems to using over 95% of the CPU.

I checked on my computer, and it uses 0%. It's running some threads, but not enough to even note 1% on the scale.

I'll look into what this means.

If CPU usage is that high when you don't have anything going then that sounds like a problem.  Svchost is a generic Windows tag, basically.

Maybe this will help, if you haven't found it already  http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/how-to-fix-svchostexe-errors-and-problems-with-high-cpu-usage/

If you haven't already, run Malwarebytes.
