Well if you can afford both, then the answer is always to get both (assuming you won't want to support the exploitative format split between the three major players)
But if money's tight and you have to make a choice... yeah, I think Nintendo are on the way out of the home console market.
We'll have to wait and see if the NX does well (or what the hell the NX even is for that matter) but I'm seriously worried about Nintendo at the moment.
