Game series you regret missing out on?

Final Fantasy and turn-based RPG's in general. We always missed out on games like this in Europe during the NES and SNES era when my interest in gaming developed. I have tried to get into them, but i find it really hard and i wonder if it would have been easier if they a part of my formative years as a gamer
