It always has been, its always been here. Medieval Europe was warm from 1000 to 1200, this was followed by a mini ice age from 1500 to 1700. Must have been all those trucks and aerosols the Tudor used. |
I agree. Scientists are fickle. There is good science and there is bad science. Lots of scientisits are driven by motives other than curisioty and the betterment of our world. To take any scientist word on anything without questioning, even if we don't possess enough knowledge, is borderline insainity (isn't that how religions work?)
Weren't there enough publication and studies before the world-wide introduction of Tamiflu? Years later, after billions were spent to stock pharmacies with the useless drug, the company that made it apologized for legally misleading the public with their scientific research.
There are journals that publish science and research and on the other hand, there is a different kind of science that teaches us on how to critically review these journals and the science they introduce to us.
I am not questioning the integrity of all scientists, but to put them on a pedestal is too god damin naive. To say that they studied for years and I should take their word on whatever subject I am weak at is also stupid.
That's my problem with the video in the OP, I don't want to even discuss climate change, but Jimmy Kimmel is annoying and insulting. He might as well replace these scientists with priests and Imams preaaching religions and it would be just as ridiculous.
