They aren't making those games. Halo wars is being made by the age of empires creators and Chronicles is being made by Peter Jacksons gaming company or something like that.
They should just remake marathon with Master chief as the main character. It makes lots of sense as marathon and halo are basically the same thing anyway. 
It'd be a great way to keep leveraging master chief and also pushing the marathon name.
