The deaths of 50 000 people caused by the people in China could easily been prevented by the corrupt government. The government approved the building of villages in well known earthquake high risk zones. Chinese government tsk, tsk. Shameful, but at least they are helping the people in that area.
The Burma floods a week earlier resulted in 100 000 people dead and leaving millions homeless. Burmese autocratic government did nothing to help the Burmese people in need and stopped foreign aids from assistance. In comparison to Burma, China is not that bad.
