i think you missed the part I bolded in his post. I wanna believe that that's the qualifier of his argument. 

And I agree. The core console market isn't big enough for 3 players. Especially when you consider that 95% of all games made would typically be released on all consoles. This of course is assuming Nintendo can finally get third parties behind them. 

I don't even think it's big enough for two.... but the competition is needed to keep companies honest. If it were left to Sony, we would be paying for $1000+ consoles and probably have a very very dated network infrastructure. If it were left to MS, we would not be using discs anymore and/or not able to buy or play used games. If it were left to Nintendo.... well, thrid parties wouldn't exist. unless bibtedno says it's OK to.
