Ascension: Microtransactions, didn't succeed

GoW4: Microtransactions, will probably succeed because of the number on the title.

Uncharted 3 and TLoU: Had microtransactions, succeeded insanely, ND is Sony's Golden Child.  SMS was their Golden Child until Uncharted 2.

Sony likes money and their golden child games tend to have tacked on multiplayer with microtransactions.  Even Full Frontal Assault had some pointless purchases for costumes and such, and that game came at the low point in the Ratchet series!

It's just something Sony does, and taking it out of Uncharted (a decision that only Sony could make, seeing as no developer WILLINGLY adds microtransactions to a game unless they want to diminish perception) makes me expect GoW 4 will shamelessly do so at least as much as before.

I still don't see any sense behind your expectation. Your example just points against it, actually.

If Sony is now taking it away from even their "Golden Child" why would God of War be having it? Even more when you recognize it failed on Ascension and even being sucessful within ND games Sony still choose to take it from their newest game.

If anything this is a sign Gof of War 4 also won't have it, not that it'll have even more...

God of War is a shell of itself lately, whereas Uncharted is at its peak. Plus Sony is the company trying to introduce a VR peripheral with very little first party support and release a hardware upgrade if rumors are to be believed. Sony is still in love with milking their brand to all hell, but in this case they backed away to instill a sense of goodwill most likely and end the series on a high note in every way, even if the multiplayer is still tacked on.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!
