Definitely, the technology is only going to get better and anyone thinking that this is just going to be a fad is greatly mistaken. It's... VR..... Virtual Reality people have been wanting it for decades, maybe what's here now isn't exactly what you wanted but everything starts somewhere and development on this type of technology is certainly not going to stop.
