Well, some of them, like From Software, made the right balance - just look at Dark Souls, especially III...that game technically looks average at best and more like 7th gen game, way below western AAA titles, yet it captivated big audience and it's making profit, all the while looking like it's western title.

Are you serious? Dark Souls 3 is one of the best looking multiplats, tons of monsters and boss fights which 90% of western AAA games lack.
