The whole "lets have a console a generation behind everyone else" thing just doesn't work barring a miracle.

The only way Nintendo could justify it is if the NX is a portable hybrid of some kind, but even then it would have to be able to run some version of PS4 ports IMO.

The PS4 will be $299.99 this fall anyway, XBox One even lower ... these are cheap enough to satisfy the budget market. $299 is the new $199.

True, but there really is no need for three practically identical devices either. So which way do you go....
