You're talking about having a girlfriend at 12 years old? I wouldn't really call that a relationship by any means. You're not even old enough to go anywhere by yourself at that age, letalone navigate a deeper relationship with another human being.
Anyway, I usually never take breaks completely from gaming, but I will sometimes stop playing modern games for a few days or weeks just to play a lot of retro games or handheld games just to change things up, but I game an average of 20-30 hours per week if not more, depending on the week, and I work a full-time job.
I also find it a bit silly that people sacrifice themsleves and their hobbies for a significant other, as that's basically sacrificing a part of who you are if you're actually passionate about gaming. I game with my wife all the time and we also game separately, so our relationship has never taken away from my love of gaming and it's allowed us both to be happy and not sacrificing who we are and what we love.
