TV-off play: play console titles in the palm of your hand, limited to only your own house though, unless you want to get crafty
Local multiplayer: 7 different controller types to choose from (may vary between games) and potential to support up to 8 players at the same time on a single console.
Mario Party: rest in peace old friend. im not sure it will ever be the same after 10
Miiverse: take it or leave it. it gets worse with every update imo
