Keep in mind:

- "complete new concept"

- Nintendo almost never had success with high end consoles (n64, gamecube); their underpowered + cheap consoles often sold like hotcakes

- Its easier to sell a cheap consoles then an expensive consoles without third party support (People are ok with spening 150 bucks on an 3ds to play pokemon but not 400 bucks on Wii U for Mario Kart/Smash)

- Nintendo usually dont sell consoles at an loss.

- Powerfull Hardware need alot ressources to develop games (modern Ps4 games are ALOT more expensive then old ps2 games, need alot more menpower)

- Nintendos first party studios arnt that big. Their software output will be bigger as weaker the console is.

- Nintendo will show the WII U Version of Zelda at e3. Not the NX Version (Wii U Version might even be graphically superior)

- In the past Nintendo always was more about gimmicks then power

- Release outside holidays in march. A weak + cheap system (like 100-150 bucks) could also be sold as an present for eastern instead of xmas.

- Wont even really have a chance agains Ps4 even with badass hardware (Nintendo already has an bad/underpowerd image, wouldnt change that fast).

- Even the Wii U is still relativly expensive to make (even without gamepad).

- The Wii U was the most powerfull console from Nov. 2012 - Nov. 2013. Still it failed, even in that time.

To be honest it could even be weaker then the wii u. Could easily use some mobile CPU like Snapdragon 810 and thats it.

My conecept for NX.

Fusion idea its true and its basically a PS vita (handheld) and Vita TV (home console) but in an more advanced way.
