I actually came into the thread to say, PS3 doesn't need to be revived or saved; it's handily beating 360 nowadays and the trend looks very likely to continue. PS3 costs will keep coming down, and profits will rise. Attach rate is really starting to majorly improve. Christmas 08 will be huge for Blu-Ray.
But, oh..Japan. Yeah, sales will really pick up monumentally surrounding MGS4 and FFXIII (highest percent hardware sales increase for any home console ever surrounding the launch of exclusive games for that console), and also when a slim model is introduced, the price drops, and BC is reintroduced. The games and slim design being the most important.
