Well if you have to play anything other that ports from the last generation and the same Nintendo franchises we have been getting from the N64...then you absolutely need an HD console.
If you want to experience online play as its meant to be ...you definitely need an HD console.
If you have a HDTV and dont want your eyes to hurt ...you definitely need an HD console.
And there are a lot of games in HD consoles that arent appearing on PC ...at least on PS3.
