Enough with the holidays thing... Usually, Consoles in their launch time and in a bit onwards sell the same, regardless the month! I mean what NX would sell in holidays they will sell it too on March and shortly thereafter.
Ps4 launched in February, and wii u in December in Japan... They had the same opening and soon after sales!
GC was released in September (worst month in Japan), again same opening and soon after sales with the aforementioned consoles!
Same with 3DS and DS, which were lauchend, in February and December respectively....
Launch months doesn't really matter!
People who buy the console in its launch time is the core fanbase, and they will buy it whenever it's being released!
