It was a fad because it was the tracking and cheap price that made it popular. It was more of a toy than the other two... But it was still outselling it and that's all that I claimed. The PS3 was newer and had a longer life cycle so I can see it living on longer to overtake the outdated console... Yes it was. The failure rate of the original Jaspers was because they had forced manufacturers to adhere to deadlines (MS's long time enemy) so that they could release it earlier since Nvidia shafted them. However, the gen was already near it's end, having started to lag behind and eventually ground to a halt as soon as the 360 was out (except for the PS2)...
MS is known for rushing things. The deadline mentality they use on the PC side is rather awful for console sales... Also, the PS3 had a larger library. Of course it'd outsell the X360. At least in the long run. As for the GTA stuff, Modern Warfare 3 sold better on the X360... Your point?
Unless they somehow lengthen this race, I agree...
And failure rate was 23 percent guys... |
Who play Call of Duty, is the same people every year, the number of new players isn't something so big, some stay in the Main-line games until the other came out, others purchase the Spin-offs, but is nearly the same people, and Call of Duty, is something Niche when compared to the ammount of people that purchase GTA. selling more GTA Bundles, is better than selling Cod bundles, and the last time i saw the PS3 x Xbox 360 numbers of GTA V, the gap was very big. according to VGChartz, more than 5 Millions of Gap, and the PS3, was far behind on USA, where the game should sold the most, but GTA, is a Worldwide success, is the Number 1 in every coner of the World, something that Call of Duty, has yet to acomplish.
The Failure Rate was higher in the First year, of course after that they solved the problem.
