If we allow the oil companies to have at it on the oil reserves in the US then they can't really complain about subsidized renewable energy. It's a give and take. They already know that it just a matter of time before some better, cheaper, renewable and more efficent energy source will replace oil. Let them make their money while they can while the government gets a flood of tax money. It's a win/win/win/win/etc for the US if we actually do something with the oil. 

Democrats aren't doing anything with it. 

And I'm glad.
