How do you pronounce tomato?

I don't think I've heard "tomarto" before.

I say "tuh-may-toe". A lot of people where I live say "tuh-mayder" or even just "mayder".

I've met country folk who pronounce sausage as "sash-ash". I didn't even know what the hell they were saying at first.
