As someone said before me '' Different strokes for different folks '', it's not everybody who are interest in paying a online service just for free games and discount. A lot of people continue to play with physical games and never touch digital games, so they don't care. But I'm glad you can profit from it, but you can't generalized your case for everyone. Now, for those who are playing a lot on online multiplayer games, Sony just slaped them on their face with this ''forced'' online subscription. A lot of people got frustrated from it. But nowadays, everyone act as if it was normal to pay for an online subscription, which it is not, since you had it free in the first place not so long ago. |
Why I said salty is cause in response to the news tidbit you chose to single out PSN subscriptions and "forced" online as if that's the only draw to PSN.
And I find that strange because PS+ never started of as a pay to play online service. And it was extremely successful for a service that just gave you free games and game discounts. so much so that XBL that had been doing paid online for years before PS+ copied it.
And I don't know, but I doubt there is a living person alive that will just flat out refuse to download free games that they don't have when they are already paying for a service. But you are right tho, different strokes.
Here is a small fact. In the 3yrs I have had PS+. I've "aquired" 89 games. Spent a total of $120 for those 3yrs of subscriptions cause you can get PSN cards for less at the right times of the year.
89 GAMES.
