Well, people don't like gays in Russia. Its a small quantity of them in Moscow/St Petersburg. I think in small towns showing you are gay may be dangerous. Its more not about sex habits, but about behaving at people.
I have a feeling that life become harder for gays in Russia last 2-3 years. Thats ok for me since it shows people's feelings about it.
