As for questions...

How powerful are the Bratva? Does the average citizen in Russia have to really watch their backs on was my friend putting me on?

A guy from Siberia also told me that out there they don't have Santa Claus/Saint Nicholas, but some other winter gift-giver. Is that true?

Do older Russians, those that lived under the USSR, bear a grudge towards the USA or Western Europe?

Is chess as popular in Russia as it is shown in the media?

1. Its much lower criminal activity now. In 1995 when i was in school, local cryminal authorithy was blown up in his car right near school. Gunshots and even automats shooting was a thing. Now its very different, and most normal citisens don't crossing with criminals. Of course, if you want to get troubles for your ass, you'll get it. ))

2. Yes, we dond have Santa. We prefer Ded Moroz (grandfather Frost) and Snegurochka (his granddaughter).

3. No not much grudge to Usa/Europe. But Gorbachev and Eltsin are amongst the most hated persons between them. People blame them in destroying USSR.

4. Not as much as when I was a child, sadly ((
