Does 343 need better writers?

The Halo series has really suffered under 343. What was once the premiere console FPS is now just another also-ran.

That was because there were a lot of people that used to play arena FPS back then, now twitch shooters dominate.

New gen players now think Halo gameplay is hard and games like COD and Battlefield are easier to pick up and play. That's not 343i's fault, matter fact in 3 years, they gave more to Halo universe than Bungie did in a decade.

Not to mention not retconn 3 seperate novels when making the story for Halo Reach......and 343 actually acknowledges the lore in Halo Wars, where as Bungie didn't think it deserved to be part of the franchise.

The frustrating part is that Bungie knew they were on their way out and stopped caring about the lore. They made zero effort to compare their story to the lore established since 2001. But now its cannon, and most Halo fans aren't into the story enough to know about the contradictions. So now you have Halo story casuals and actual lore fans constantly fighting over that.

But ya....343 needs better writers ;)
